 Timus Cake, a traditional snack with a soft texture and a sweet taste thanks to the use of brown sugar. Enjoy the sweet and soft Timus cake while relaxing with your family accompanied by a cup of warm tea.


Ingredients:

  • 2 kg cassava, peeled and washed
  • 1 young coconut, grated
  • 9 tbsp grated brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour
  • Cooking oil for greasing
  • Banana leaves and toothpicks as needed

Instructions:

  1. Grate the cassava.
  2. Mix grated coconut, cassava, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and tapioca flour. Stir well.
  3. Prepare pieces of banana leaves. Grease lightly with cooking oil.
  4. Take 2 tablespoons of the mixture, wrap it with banana leaves, and secure with toothpicks. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  5. Preheat the steamer.
  6. Steam the Timus cakes for about 45 minutes until cooked. Remove from the steamer and serve.
